Q: Which studios do your engineers work in?
KLM producers and engineers are experienced studio experts and work comfortably in any studio in the world.
Q: Can I use my band as musicians or do I need to hire professionals?
Yes, you can use your own band. Professional musicians are available for any additional needs your session may have but are not required.
Q: Can you make my songs sound like my favorite artist?
Yes. KLM studio pros are capable of recording and mixing songs in any style with any sound.
Q: What is mastering?
Mastering is the final step of the production process that gives your album a finished, commercial sound and customizes songs to fit in the correct playing order on the album.
Q: Where are the KLM studios located?
Everywhere! KLM has access to any studio in the world in order to meet your location and production needs.
Q: I like mixing my own songs. Can I hire KLM engineers for just one part of the process?
Absolutely. Although KLM can produce your record from start to finish, you are by no means required to use us for the entire process.
Q: How much time will you spend working on my song?
Your song will be worked on until you are satisfied with the final product, period.
Q: I want my song to have a cameo by a famous artist. Can KLM do that?
We can help facilitate a cameo appearance by any established artist as long as the budget and song is a right fit for the featured artist.
Q: I want to work in a studio out of town. Can you make my travel arrangements?
Yes. KLM will arrange flights and hotel accommodations to get you where you need to go safely and comfortably.
Q: Can I get master copies of my session after we are finished?
Yes. Your master recordings, sessions, backups and additional copies are yours and will go with you when the session is finished.
Q: What do I do with my recording after it’s finished?
After a recording is finished, you are invited to speak with a KLM Sales Rep about further options like manufacturing, distribution, graphic design and more!
Q: How long should I expect my session to last?
Time in the studio depends on the project, skill of the musicians, complexity of the arrangements and any additional engineering required. Individual songs can be finished in a couple of days or, depending on your needs, a few weeks.
Q: I have a day job. Do I need to be present through the whole session?
No. You are more than welcome to convey your needs to KLM engineers and return to other business. We will send audio samples, rough mixes and test copies until you are happy with the results.
